As we journey through the heart of our upskilling program, we are thrilled to share the remarkable progress we've made over the last 6 months and give you a sneak peek into what the coming month holds. The Valerie Cares Foundation is committed to transforming young makeup artists into empowered entrepreneurs, and we are excited to unveil the next phase of our initiative – the Business Acceleration Program.
Progress So Far:
Over the past few months, we've witnessed the incredible growth and transformation of our talented participants. Our dedication to education, empowerment, and equipping these young female artists with the right tools, mindset, and skill set is yielding fantastic results. From building self-identity to mastering basic makeup skills, our participants are becoming well-rounded professionals, ready to take on the beauty and cosmetics industry.
The Next Chapter - Business Acceleration Program:
One of the most exciting developments in our upskilling program is the upcoming Business Acceleration Program. In this phase, we are going to equip our participants with the knowledge and skills needed to turn their passion for makeup into a thriving business. Here's a glimpse of what's in store:
1. Mentoring for Success: We've partnered with experienced industry professionals who will mentor our participants. They'll share insights on business development, branding, marketing, and more. Learning from the best will set our artists on the right path to success.
2. Financial Literacy: Understanding the financial aspects of running a business is crucial. Our participants will receive guidance on managing their finances, taxes, and the tools needed to secure a stable financial future.
3. Commercial Shot Campaign: The road to success involves building a strong portfolio. We're conducting a themed commercial shot campaign that will showcase the artists' newfound skills and growth. These high-quality images and videos will be vital for marketing their services and leveraging social media to introduce and position them as artists.
4. Internship Opportunities: To gain practical experience, our participants will have the chance to intern with established industry professionals. This real-world exposure will provide them with insights into the industry and hands-on experience.
5. One-Day Masterclass in Major Cities: We're taking our program on the road. In December, we're planning one-day masterclasses in various cities, allowing makeup artists from different regions to come together, learn, and network. This expansion will help our participants connect with potential clients and collaborators and also bridge the knowledge gap in cities outside the capital city of Ghana - Accra.
Conclusion:
The Valerie Cares Foundation is dedicated to nurturing talent, promoting entrepreneurship, and supporting young artists. With the Business Acceleration Program and other exciting opportunities on the horizon, our participants are on track to achieving their dreams in the beauty industry. Stay tuned for more updates on this incredible journey as we work together to empower and uplift the next generation of makeup artists and beauty professionals.
